General Description

A practical workshop designed form managers or business owners with a high level of financial accountability and responsibility. The program will assist them to interpret andanalyse financial statements and information for a variety of purposes including determining business feasibility and financial health of a company, and developing financial building blocks to underpin business strategy.

Pre-requisites

Accounting Skills or equivalent.

Methodology

A proven practical workshop approach is taken in delivering this course. Course exercises are designed to impart relevant skills and knowledge through real-life examples, case studies and scenarios. Comprehensive notes are provided to participants to reinformce learning.

Content


  • An overview of th three financial statements, the balance sheet, profit and loss statements and cash flow statements - what they can offer, and how they relate.

  • A series of real-life case studies to develop and practice the skills of critiquing annual reports and financial data and analysing performance over time.

  • Analysing financial data using financial modelling and diagnostic software.

  • Describe and analyse elements of financial statements such as assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, expenses and cash flows.
